i was thinking about maintaining a blogroll fro quite some time but never able to think of a list of good blogs which I usually visit…then i decided to look up the cyber world to find why ppl add the blogroll in thrie blogs…the first place to look up came to mind was wikipedia but it has only the very basic definition of blogroll…so it didn’t help much…then I googled the term blogroll…and found some interesting articles written by some geeks. An interesting article here lists some very intriguing points… (more…)

its been a week or so into the launch of Zong, but still the queue outside the only customer service center of the company in karachi is getting bigger n bigger…today at 10:30 AM, there were about 100 ppl standing in the line to get the connection…is Zong really that big a hit among karachiites or the ever growing queue is coz of fact that there is only one customer service center in the city. I don’t see a reason of it becoming so popular…the call rates r not spectacular…they r offering better rates then their competitors, but they had to, in order to attract ppl…a very good comparison of the call rates and other services rates by Dukkandar can be found here. Or the existing service providers r so bad that everyone was looking for an alternative…but i dont think thats the case as well. Now for the treatment they provide to their wannabe customers, Zag had a first hand experience of that posted here…so why the hell everyone is running for it it as if there is no life without it…:s

i read in the newspaper that the government is considering to close all offices etc for saturdays as well in order to save power…this means everyone can enjoy long weekends..that would be just great…but only if that will be applied to the private sector companies as well…but will it be of any help…all the private sector companies r already using generators to generate power…i hope it’ll save some power…Daylight Saving Time is also a good idea to save electricity…it was used for an year as well, but never heard of it after that. If it can be implemented to good effect in the west, why not it can be used here to maximize the use of nature’s provided light :S

I first thought that he must be some other person with the same name, even when I saw him I though he is someone else as he was wearing the black sherwani, which he’ll only wear again on his wedding or if he is receiving another medal. Yes he was the Atif Aslam and to be honest, I was surprised and to some extent shocked to see him receiving the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, the medal of excellence. No doubt he is a good singer, a unique voice, but at the same time a controversial figure. Whether breaking up from the original band, Jal, or giving statements in India and performing there and singing songs of Indian movies, or found drunk here or there, every now n then he comes up with something, good or bad, to keep him in the news. I’d rather wait for a few more years before awarding him any medal…
