its been a week or so into the launch of Zong, but still the queue outside the only customer service center of the company in karachi is getting bigger n bigger…today at 10:30 AM, there were about 100 ppl standing in the line to get the connection…is Zong really that big a hit among karachiites or the ever growing queue is coz of fact that there is only one customer service center in the city. I don’t see a reason of it becoming so popular…the call rates r not spectacular…they r offering better rates then their competitors, but they had to, in order to attract ppl…a very good comparison of the call rates and other services rates by Dukkandar can be found here. Or the existing service providers r so bad that everyone was looking for an alternative…but i dont think thats the case as well. Now for the treatment they provide to their wannabe customers, Zag had a first hand experience of that posted here…so why the hell everyone is running for it it as if there is no life without it…:s

to get the sim, u have to visit the customer service center, or a franchise…i cant help u getting it

hey I got two sims, one for the zag nick and one for my real name, now i am having a hard time deciding which one to use
@Zag: i believe u dont want to disclose ur cyber world identity to the real world ppl…and u talk on cell in the real world not in the cyber world…so ur real name should be the obvious choice
Actually I wanted to use the cyber wold one to use with my cyber world yahoo messenger……
@Zag: good for u that u got both the numbers u wanted…now buy a duel sim cell phone, if u cant carry two, n enjoy both of them…i couldn’t get even one of the four preferred numbers…:(
which numbers were you looking for? i mean your name or nick?
@Zag: name, nick, name + DOB combination, current cell number…but all of them were already booked or taken…

zong sucks as far as connectivity and service standard is concern
@Zag: so nice of u…but if it’s not the name/nick only, its useless…i may find many such combinations…but they r not that appealing…anyway thanx for digging out…
@Umair: see…thats what i’m saying…stay to whichever service u r using…wait for some time before switching…the true face of it will come out in a couple of months…
I think it’s better to get the number you want now, and then switch over to another network after 2 months using MNP.
