I have an account which I hadn’t used in past few months and I was uncertain if its still active or not. I wanted to visit the nearest branch of the bank to inquire about the status of the account. Today when I checked my emails, I got an article about keeping the saving account active forever, I read it and noted to apply some of the tips mentioned in the article in future to avoid my account being inactive. Then later in the afternoon, i got a call from a friend requesting me to act as the introducer for his account in the same bank. I asked him to wait for my reply in a couple of hours. The omens were obvious that I should not be reluctant in making this matter clear. I rushed to the nearest bank in the lunch break and luckily the ATM transaction worked. And the mini statement showed that my last transaction was on 31st july, so it was pretty close of becoming inactive. And then I had to go through all the hassle of going to the actual branch of the account and submitting the application and the fee for making it active. Nature saved me
