i was thinking about maintaining a blogroll fro quite some time but never able to think of a list of good blogs which I usually visit…then i decided to look up the cyber world to find why ppl add the blogroll in thrie blogs…the first place to look up came to mind was wikipedia but it has only the very basic definition of blogroll…so it didn’t help much…then I googled the term blogroll…and found some interesting articles written by some geeks. An interesting article here lists some very intriguing points… (more…)

I was going to my friend’s place when I saw the moon leveled with my eye-line right on the horizon and i was stunned to see it. It was a full moon and it was none less than 5 times bigger than what we usually see high on the sky. Then i searched a bit on the internet and found a very good article here. The phenomenon ia called Moon Illusion and scientists are yet to agree upon any theory. But the one thing they agree on is that the moon does not physically change its size or distance from Earth as it moves across the sky. It’s all in our heads. So when any of u see it, don’t just suspect that there is something wrong with ur sighting; believe it.

I came to know about another addition in the wiki list, wikitravel. wikis r always been a good source of information for ppl who wants quick info abt anything, though it is not considered very reliable but still it has become a commonplace. it was blocked in Pakistan sometime back coz of some unexplained reasons; maybe coz of the easy and free access to all the info; which is not considered a good thing here.

Now a bit about wikitravel. Wikitravel is a project to create a free, complete, up-to-date and reliable(as they say) world-wide travel guide. It is built in collaboration by Wikitravellers from around the globe. I found only a few articles abt Pakistan on wikitravel, so I decided to share some of my knowledge and traveling experiences of the Northern Area of Pakistan. Right now I’m working on the main page for the Northern Area. This page was started by me and still in its very early stage. i want all of u to contribute ur information about various places of Pakistan and help making the soft image of our Homeland. c ya at Wikitravel.
